Kantha
A reverence for
what came before.
Kantha is the practice of finding the most memorable and intricately detailed textiles and bringing them together to create something entirely new. Rooted in generations of craftsmanship, the process begins with the thoughtful selection of heirloom fabrics, each chosen for its history, character, and beauty. Carefully woven together, these cherished fragments are transformed into a bespoke piece that honors the stories carried within them while giving new life to what came before.
Our design process is a two-part journey. It begins with the creation of the fabric itself. These handcrafted textiles are then draped and fused together to create one-of-a-kind designs that reflect both vintage romance and modern sophistication. Strong silhouettes are carefully crafted to enhance and highlight every curve.
The French laces chosen for this collection mirror the same level of detail, while the careful precision of each delicate drape is an artwork in its own right. Kantha is about texture, artistry, and the fusion of fabrics—from silk wools and crepe-back satins to radzimirs—brought to life through intricate embroidery using traditional techniques such as zardozi and tambour. Together, these elements highlight our signature silhouettes and give each design its distinctive character.
