Saying “Yes” to Custom: Asha’s Enaura Journey

Saying “Yes” to Custom: Asha’s Enaura Journey

By Sohil Mistry

At Enaura Bridal, we always strive to say yes—especially when it comes to customization. We understand that many brides fall in love with a gown but wish they could tweak just one detail. Whether it’s adjusting a neckline, altering a skirt, or completely reimagining a design, our collection is built with flexibility in mind. Every gown is made to measure and fully customizable—down to the last bead.

Our bride Asha came to our showroom with a beautiful vision: to create a look that blended traditional Western bridal elegance with elements of her South Asian heritage. For her mehendi, she planned to wear a vibrant lehenga, but for her ceremony, she wanted something that captured a more classic bridal silhouette—without losing the essence of her culture.

During her appointment, we explored a range of gowns and chatted through her favorite details from each one. Together, we crafted a design that was truly her own.

The Inspiration

  • Asha loved the intricate beadwork of our Wildflower gown.

  • She was drawn to the structured bodice of the Juliette, paired with the romantic flow of the Veronika skirt.

  • To reflect the lehenga style, she envisioned the gown as a two-piece look. At the time, our collection didn’t include this option—but it does now!

  • She also wanted to move away from traditional ivory and play with soft pastel tones—exploring muted blues, pinks, and purples to complement her wedding palette and help the beadwork shine.

The Custom Process
Once Asha finalized her vision, we began the customization process. Like all showroom brides, she received a fully made-to-measure gown—ensuring a flawless fit that’s tailored proportionally to her body.

With measurements complete and custom details confirmed, our team sent everything to India, where our designer Sohil collaborates closely with our artisans to translate the vision into a pattern. From there, a muslin mock-up (a simple cotton version of the gown without any beadwork) is created to test the fit and structure.

Asha returned to the showroom to try on her muslin, review her custom sketch, and finalize color swatches and beadwork samples. Any necessary fit or design adjustments were made before the details were sent back to India for the final gown to begin production.

The Final Gown
With pattern adjustments complete and beading underway, the final gown began to take shape. When her custom Enaura gown arrived, we ensured any last-minute tweaks were made to guarantee the perfect fit for her big day.

Whether you’re looking to make a subtle change or dreaming of a completely bespoke design, we’re here to bring your vision to life. At Enaura, we believe every bride should feel seen, celebrated, and beautifully one-of-a-kind.
